I provide Integrative Trauma Therapy services with a primary treatment focus on complex trauma and emotion dysregulation, with a specific focus on the neurobiology of trauma and attachment experiences. I work with people to process experiences in a safe structured manner to support brain body integration. I incorporate Mindfulness practices and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to enhance emotional regulation.
I employ a variety of evidenced based therapies which are helpful for regulating the brain, body and nervous system, improving the overall ability to integrate experiences.
I use mindfulness techniques and sensory rich integrative approaches such as art, bilateral stimulation, resource installation, somatic/body movement work, mindfulness, and meditation to bring awareness to the felt experience in a safe structured approach.
Therapy can be beneficial to individuals who are looking to strengthen their overall health. Stress is a normal experience in life, understanding it can have many benefits. Symptoms of emotion dysregulation such as depression, fear, and anxiety are common things people experience when stress becomes unhealthy. I focus on helping people understand and effectively respond to stress.
Trauma can be defined as any experience which overwhelms an individual’s capacity to cope combined with a felt sense of loss of control. I work with people to increase tolerance of stressful experiences and to rebuild a felt sense of safety within the body's nervous system, supporting their overall capacity to self-regulate, recognize and tolerate emotion, and process trauma energy safely and effectively.
